Oracle bones 甲骨文 are the oldest carier of Chinese script. They were used to consult the oracle. In some cases both the question and the answer is carved into the bones, providing the opportunity for us to learn about life in China thousands of years ago.
Thousands of years old they are, but like other 'antiques' widely available at Panjiayuan in Beijing... The Chinese copy antiques as if it were the real thing. A clever trick to catch tourists.
Also interesting is that the company Oracle uses the Chinese characters of Oracle bones in their advertisement:甲骨文. A clever trick to plant their product in the Chinese market.
