Like many conferences the EU-ChinaSummit in Brussels was a show more than anything else, but the right atmosphere was undoubtly created for the Chinese premier Wen Jiabao, the president of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, the resident of the European Commision Jose Manuel Barosso and the Chairman of the China International Trade Promotion Committee Wan Jifei to impress the public with their speeches. I liked the speech of Wan Jifei - real Chinese bombastic speeching tradition!
During the QingDynasty the Manchu were in power in China. The Manchu had friendly relations with the Tibetans and the Mongols. Manchu and Chinese co-ruled the country. The consequence was a multilingual country. This board at the Lama Temple in Beijing shows Mongolian, Tibetan, Chinese and Manchu languages.
